Ponytail’s music can be described as throwing paint on canvas while letting wild animals lose on stage. Perhaps you need a musical reference to get the whole picture. Take a shot of Deerhoof with a splash of The Pixies, then add a twist of Animal Collective; you now have a Pony-Cocktail This Baltimore foursome takes the stage with punk rock nursery rhymes and a sugar-high performance. Singer Molly Siegel fills out the mike with whimsical sounds bordering on Dr. Seuss characters Hopping and Bopping on Pop.
